The 2,789 members of the Ulma Group have been called upon by management to vote if they approve leaving the Corporation and replace their affiliation with Mondragon “for a model based on mutually agreed agreements to strengthen the cooperative system”.

The address of Ulma has accused the Corporation mondragon from “interference without precedents”, after Mondragon’s governing bodies sent a message to all member cooperatives. In a message addressed to its members, Ulma’s management denounces that the Group is being the subject of an aggressive campaignpredestined, he affirms, “until condition the will of all and all members. We will not accept that our decision-making powers are attacked in this way,” the directorate stressed, before announcing that it would respond to the Corporation’s “manipulated” statements.
According to Ulma, Mondragon “sent a communication presupposing unprecedented interference against the free entry into the Euskadi cooperative movement and against the autonomy of management” of that movement”. As the directorate points out, this communication was sent “even before its publication of the call for the meetings of the cooperatives”, and it was part of a communication campaign aimed at “conditioning” the will of all members.
Ulma’s management states that it is not trying to “help” create an environment “that can only harm the Basque cooperative”, but adds: “We will not accept anyone attacking our decision-making ability in such a violent way”.
In this way, in addition to sharing with its partners, “fulfilling our responsibility and necessary transparency”, the information disseminated by Mondragon, Ulma reiterates its proposal and that of Orona, which could not be presented a few days ago at the Mondragon Congress presented, such as the paper that was eventually presented at that congress.
Finally, Ulma emphasizes that in the coming days she will give an answer “to the manipulated statements that have collected the opinions of the Mondragon bodies”.
