An unknown person attacked a petrol station shop in Vienna-Leopoldstadt on Thursday. According to the National Police, the robber entered the business premises on Exhibition Street around 2:45 a.m. and demanded money and cigarettes from a 27-year-old salesman. After the suspect got what he was asked for, he fled – an immediate search was to no avail.
The perpetrator would have pulled his gray hoodie over his mouth and nose to camouflage himself. He had made his demands in unaccented German, he had hidden a hand in his sweater pocket, leading the employee to assume that the person in front of him was also armed.

The age of the suspect is estimated to be 25 to 30 years, in addition to the gray hoodie, he would have been wearing black trousers at the time of the crime. The Viennese detective, center-east department, has taken over the further investigation.
