The LAB union has declared a 24-hour strike at the center Amazon has in Valle de Tràpaga (Bizkaia), the only distribution center in the Basque Country, for next Monday, November 28, coinciding with Cyber Monday (day of discounts on online commerce) , and demand that their terms of employment be negotiated.
In a note, LAB explained that after “the great success of the October 17 strike”, the 109 workers are called to strike to “demand the negotiations that the company denies them”. The multinational opened this nerve center of distribution in 2019.
The workers denounce “the job insecurity” suffered by part of the workforce and demand a center agreement for Amazon Trapagaran, which adapts to their employment realities, as the Bizkaia transport agreement currently applies to them.
