Bizkaia Metal’s negotiating table ended without an agreement and the unions deemed the employer’s proposal “deeply inadequate”, which they say “forces the sector to go to the strike next week”, from November 28 to December 2.

The union majority represented by CCOO, LAB and UGT denounced that the employer has submitted a proposal “for acceptance and signature”, acknowledging “progress, although insufficient”, so “in an exercise of responsibility” they have submitted a new proposal with amendments that are negotiable “. considered it was not acceptable and refused to debate, denounced these plants.

“The employers’ movements in recent days are a result of the mobilizations and successful strike days carried out so far, demonstrating that “this is the way and that it is time to stand firm in the five strike days” evoked for next week.

In the same way, DE A considers that the movements taking place at the negotiating table are “caused by the success of the strikes” and has nevertheless criticized the fact that employers “continue without guaranteeing immediate increases in the sector-wide CPI and without application to guarantees to be offered.

According to the employer FVEMat that meeting “the irresponsibility and greed of the trade unions have been demonstrated, which have rejected a proposal that improves the agreement they themselves signed this week in Álava”, for which they have been asked to reconsider the offer and end the strike.

FVEM has denounced that the unions rejected his offer, refusing to “call off a strike which is totally unnecessary and without justification, while the progress at the table is still considerable”. He has urged unions to “be realistic in their requests”.

With the strike, he warned, “they are leading the sector and the people who work in it into a situation of instability and economic loss, which makes no sense in the current state of the negotiations and in the global economic situation”.
