Two-thirds of Viennese households have 200 euros in their account immediately. The application can be submitted from 5 December.
It is the city’s largest energy support to date. The Vienna Energy Bonus 22 makes 130 million euros available to relieve Viennese households. That is 200 euros per household. Individual households with a gross annual income of up to EUR 40,000 or multi-person households with an income of up to EUR 100,000 are entitled to a supplement.
650,000 – two thirds of all – households are covered by this subsidy. “The energy bonus 22 is a support for small and medium-sized enterprises, because it is not only very low-income households that suffer from inflation,” said SPÖ finance councilor Peter Hanke.
Help with the application in pensioner clubs
About a million letters will be sent to households by December 12. These contain a password that is required for the online application. The application can be submitted from 5 December. The money should be in your account within a few days. People who do not have internet access can contact the city’s service line on 0140008040. The elderly clubs and residential homes also provide on-site support during the application process.
