Café Landtmann – cozy bathrobes instead of heating pads

Date:

The boss of the Viennese Café Landtmann, Berndt Querfeld, thinks that the radiant heaters are no longer up to date and now uses cozy terry cloth. Does that go down well with the guests?

The discussion about heating pads in gastronomy is still hot. However, it will remain cold in Café Landtmann, Café Museum and the boathouse of the Querfeld family from now on.

Already half of the Santa Claus costume
“Radiator heaters are no longer suitable, they have a bad image,” says Landtmann boss Berndt Querfeld. They have always been a modern company and want to set a good example this time too. So they teamed up with the traditional Burgenland company Vossen to create a cozy terry cloth bathrobe to keep guests warm in the winter on the terrace. The color is similar to the red of the Café Museum and “is half of Santa’s costume”, as Querfeld noted during the presentation.

Wash after each use
From now on, 50 coats are available free of charge for guests in the Landtmann on a clothes rail. What about hygiene? After each use, they end up in the washing machine at home, they say. Querfeld is convinced that the guests will accept the idea well. She has already tested the “Krone”. Result: cozy and warm!
