A tragic accident happened on Saturday night. A young Tennengauer fell into the Alm Canal in Grödig. Despite attempts to resuscitate, the man succumbed to his injuries.
The 26-year-old Tennengauer fell near Grödig (Flachgau) in the Alm Canal. The Alm flows there at high speed, the man was swept away by the strong current.
Visitors to a Krampus party that had just ended nearby pulled the 26-year-old out of the Alm after a few hundred meters and alerted the rescuers.
However, resuscitation by first aiders and the emergency doctor was to no avail. The Tennengauer died on the spot. According to the police, third-party guilt has been ruled out.
