Drivers will need a lot of patience on Friday, especially in the Innsbruck region: a construction site on the A13 Brenner motorway near Innsbruck-Süd is causing long traffic jams back to the Inntal motorway and the alternative routes. Also a lot of traffic on the Fernpass…
The greater area of Innsbruck is particularly affected in the afternoon, according to the state transport service. The main reason for the sometimes enormous handicaps is the construction site near Innsbruck-Süd. Some of the traffic jams go back to the A12 Inntal autobahn to Zirl or Hall. “This also leads to a lot of alternative traffic on federal and state roads,” said an official. Sometimes everything is hidden.
Things go smoother after the construction site
Many drivers want to go south. After the construction site at Innsbruck-Süd, traffic is back to normal. Only at the toll station Schönberg are waiting times shorter.
There were and are still some traffic obstructions on the Fernpassstraße. In the afternoon the ÖAMTC reported a block handling for the border tunnel of Füssen on the German side.
