Flying sparks may have caused a fire to break out at a warehouse in Arnoldstein on Monday. Four fire departments were deployed to extinguish the fire.
On Monday around 4 p.m., the sirens sounded in Arnoldstein. A fire has broken out in a warehouse where highly flammable materials are stored. “Probably sparks flew from an excavator during the work, which quickly started a fire,” said the police.
“The flames had already spread to the assembly line before the fire could be extinguished,” says Michael Miggitsch of the Arnoldstein fire department. Fortunately no one was injured. The damage done amounts to some 50,000 euros.
The company fire brigade EuroNova and the FF Thörl-Maglern and the FF Riegersdorf/Siebenbrünn were also deployed.
