US weapons company Lockheed Martin and Israeli competitor Rafael Advanced Defense Systems have signed a cooperation agreement that provides for the joint development, testing and production of a so-called high-energy laser weapon system in the US and Israel. This should help reduce the cost of the war in the near future – ultimately “driving attackers to ruin”.
In addition to all the human suffering, war causes one thing above all: enormous costs – both for the attackers and the defenders, who must, among other things, use anti-aircraft systems to defend against enemy missile fire, as the current display of Ukraine shows. Depending on the system used, the costs per anti-aircraft missile can quickly amount to tens to hundreds of thousands of euros.
