Not as cold as this winter

According to the storm center, temperatures in the Danube area, in the east and southeast, usually drop to minus five to minus ten degrees. There is severe night frost in the Alps with minus ten to minus 20 degrees. “In the typical high valleys of Tyrol and Salzburg, such as in the Lungau or in the Defereggental, even lows just below minus 20 degrees are possible.” But don’t expect too much during the day either: it will remain icy, temperatures will most likely just reach freezing point.
Attention, danger of ice!
The rest of the week does not bring us any noticeably warmer prospects. On the contrary, there is a high risk of ice from freezing rain in the middle of the week from Vorarlberg to the eastern lowlands, according to the storm center warning. The next portion of snow could follow towards the weekend.
