“It’s easy to lose”: Just 30 minutes after the robbery of a gas station in Hainfeld in Lower Austria, the youngster was arrested in his apartment in the Lilienfeld district. The Iranian confessed and was transferred to St. Pölten Prison.

A young robber in the Lilienfeld neighborhood was able to enjoy his prey for just 30 minutes. The 16-year-old, armed with a toy gun, stormed a gas station in Hainfeld around 2:10 p.m. on December 16 and demanded money. The Iranian threatened the terrified employee with his gun and forced her to open the cash drawer. The masked boy then helped himself and fled. The gas station employee received a shock, but fortunately was unharmed.

Masked with scarf and hood
The robber fled to his apartment with a small four-figure cash. On the way, he first put away his weapon and then left his crime clothes – including a black scarf and a black cap – in a nearby garden shed.

Perpetrators previously convicted
During an immediately started alarm search, the well-known young criminal was arrested a short time later. Information from the population quickly put investigators on the trail of the alleged robber. The 16-year-old was arrested in his apartment by order of the public prosecutor and taken to St. Pölten prison.

The perpetrator, who had several previous convictions, confessed during interrogation and stated that he acted out of financial difficulties.
