The Estonian army supports Ukrainian soldiers with a mobile sauna. The sweat bath mounted on a military vehicle has been handed over to the army together with a shower and washing unit. This should strengthen the defense of the soldiers at the front in the winter months.
“It is a facility with three machines that allows soldiers to go to the sauna first, take a shower and then rest. And wash and dry her clothes at the same time. It is very important to maintain morale and health,” said technical developer Siim Nellis before the plant was shipped from Estonia.
The mobile sauna, which can be covered with camouflage netting, was initially to be shipped to a Ukrainian volunteer battalion that has been fighting Russian units at the front since March. According to the information, about 400 soldiers a week can receive an infusion and wash their clothes. The facility was developed as a joint initiative of aid organizations, the Estonian Volunteer Army and a sauna manufacturer.
