In Hard on Lake Constance in Vorarlberg, three cars went up in flames early Thursday morning in the parking lot in front of a residential complex. The fire started from a garbage station, which was located next to the parking lot. How the fire started is still unclear.
According to police reports, the dumpsters on Harder Seestrasse caught fire around 5 a.m. The flames quickly spread, setting fire to three cars parked on the property and some bicycles. The fire even threatened to spread to the house.
When the Hard volunteer fire brigade arrived on the scene, two cars were already on fire. The third vehicle was unable to burn out in time.

It is not yet known how the accident happened. An investigation into the cause of the fire is ongoing and is being carried out by the Hard Police with the support of fire investigators from the State Police Command.
