While a family in the municipality of Hermagor in Carinthia was making a Christmas visit to the cemetery on Christmas Eve, their car burned down.
The cause of the sudden fire of the car is still under investigation. The father of the family had parked his car in the parking lot of a supermarket near the cemetery in the municipality of Hermagor around 7 p.m. Then he and his family went to the cemetery to light candles at the grave.
On their way back, the family noticed their burning car and alerted the emergency services. The fire was extinguished by the Hermagor Fire Department, but the vehicle was a total loss. Fortunately no one was injured. Further investigation into the cause of the fire will follow.
