In a terrible accident on Christmas Day in Bludesch in Vorarlberg, one person died and two were seriously injured. A 39-year-old driver lost control and crashed into an oncoming car.
The 39-year-old was driving his car on the L50 from Bludesch towards Bludenz when, for reasons that are still unclear, he lost control of his car just before an intersection – he thundered over a traffic island and then, to be clear, crashed even worse. head-on into the driver’s side of a 63-year-old man’s car carrying his wife in the passenger seat. The 63-year-old Walgauer suffered such serious injuries in the collision that he died on the spot.

His wife was also seriously injured – they had to be flown to the clinic in Ravensburg with the rescue helicopter “Robin 1”. The 39-year-old also suffered serious injuries – he is currently being treated at Feldkirch State Hospital. Both vehicles were eventually declared a total loss.
