Shortly after Christmas, the fire service in Lower Austria was called to a spectacular traffic accident. Two speeding cars had missed a roundabout and then drove into a business park. The video of a reporter reading “Krone” shows a completely destroyed advertising wall.
On Monday evening, the team of the Deutsch-Wagram fire brigade reached the site of a gas station on Eduard-Scharschon-Straße. One of the cars was slowed down by a construction wall, creating a huge hole.
Second car ended up in advertising wall
The second vehicle overturned due to the high speed and got stuck on the side of the advertising wall. Both cars were badly damaged in the accident. Fortunately, both drivers survived and were able to free themselves from the wreckage on their own. Then they were taken to hospital.

The two drivers stated that they had overlooked the roundabout due to the bad weather. The emergency services secured the scene of the accident and were able to safely remove both cars. Finally, the remaining debris was removed.
The operation lasted about two hours, involving a total of 16 firefighters.
