A 53-year-old Lauteracher had stored and sold illegal fireworks, including very dangerous bullet bombs, on a large scale in Vorarlberg. Now a hefty fine awaits him.
A concerned citizen reported to police on Thursday that large quantities of pyrotechnics were being illegally stored and sold in a residential building in Lauterach. Indeed, when officials on the scene got an idea, they caught a 53-year-old man selling firecrackers, firecrackers, and the like to various customers.
The enormous quantities of pyrotechnic objects were not only stored incorrectly, the “Böller-Dealer” also did not have the correct official license or trade permit.
Officials from the Harmless Service then categorized the approximately 1.5 tons of net explosive mass, including highly dangerous “class F4” bullet bombs, and ensured safe transport. The source of the explosive material is still under investigation. The 53-year-old has already been reported to the district.
