Two people were seriously injured in a traffic accident on the A9 northbound near Peggau (Graz-Environment district) on Sunday evening. According to initial investigations, the car may have been driving too fast on a wet road.
The vehicle probably drove too fast on a wet road and rolled over several times around 9:15 p.m. The 21-year-old woman was thrown from the car in the tragic accident. The 24-year-old man was still in the vehicle when the first emergency services arrived. The two Afghans living in Graz suffered life-threatening injuries and were taken to hospital.
A9 closed for an hour
The cause of the accident is being traced. The A9 was closed to all traffic for about an hour. A diversion via the Rijksweg has been set up.
