A 24-year-old Israeli woman was severely stabbed in Rome on New Year’s Eve. The incident happened at Termini Central Station while the woman was trying to buy a ticket from a vending machine. The tourist had to undergo surgery, her condition is currently stable but critical.
The young woman was probably on her way to Rome Fiumicino Airport to return home. She wanted to buy a ticket when she was attacked by a man with a knife. A video is circulating on the internet showing the attacker. He managed to escape after the attack.
The woman was taken to hospital with serious abdominal and lung injuries and underwent emergency surgery. The police are working to reconstruct the exact course of events.
