Apparently, on New Year’s Eve in Vienna, a heavily drunk 23-year-old felt he wasn’t being cared for enough — and expressed this aggressively and loudly to paramedics. He threatened her wildly and, when the emergency services called the police, also kicked the ambulance.
At about 4:15 a.m., paramedics were tending to a patient on Exhibition Street in the Leopoldstadt district when the 23-year-old Afghan suddenly appeared. He was heavily intoxicated and, according to police, had a small cut on his hand.
Alcohol and surgery required
The emergency services also cared for him, but apparently not enough for the drunk. So he asked her to “give him alcohol for disinfection and to ‘operate’ on him,” the director reported.
Although the paramedics assured that they had treated the injury accordingly, the drunk wanted nothing to do with it and became aggressive. The rescue vehicle also got the wrath of the suspect, it was damaged. The 23-year-old was later arrested by police.
