The pain is deep in Radenthein: after the devastating car accident in which an alcoholic (22) killed two people and injured one person on Easter Sunday, the survivors laid flowers at the accident site. Candles are also reminiscent of Lisa L. and Ingo B., who did not survive the way home from the Easter fire…
One day after the terrible accident, the shock and sadness run deep in Radenthein: friends, relatives, colleagues and journeymen visit the scene of the accident in the middle of the residential area. They leave flowers, light candles and send their last greetings to the victims.
It’s hard to believe that so much joie de vivre has suddenly disappeared – Lisa L. (34) and her partner Ingo B. (39) were known for being enterprising. The blogger and web developer passionately reported on her walks, expeditions and excursions on social media and on the internet. Over the next few months, she planned trips to Norway, Ireland, Nepal and Tibet…
On Easter Sunday they celebrated until the early hours at the big Easter bonfire at the so-called “Sauzipf site” – only when it was almost light did the couple go home. Lisa and Ingo walked to the Erdmannsiedlung, where they had just moved into the apartment they shared a few months ago.
With an acquaintance – a Croat (37), who actually lives in Lower Austria and is visiting during the Easter holidays – they walked on the combined foot and bike path next to Millstätter Straße B98.
At the same time, a 22-year-old from Radentheiner was also on his way home from an Easter bonfire. And even before Lisa L. and Ingo B. got home, their lives were suddenly ripped out of their lives. Because the 22-year-old, who had drunk too much, lost control of his Audi at least 260 hp in a bend. During the first interrogation, he later told police that he had fallen asleep while driving.
An expert must clarify whether he was also speeding in the 80 km/h zone. Everything happened very quickly: the station wagon caught Lisa and Ingo from behind, both were thrown over the hood – and died instantly. The car grazed the Croat, he was injured – but he survived.
