She was literally raped to death. For an hour, 20-year-old Samantha F. was so brutally beaten in Vienna that she eventually succumbed to her injuries. Now the public prosecutor has filed a complaint against her two tormentors.
They knew each other well and had a kind of “friendship plus”. Also that night of June 18 to 19, 2022, the young woman arranged a meeting with the first suspect in his apartment. She even picked up the 25-year-old from a company party. In Vienna-Floridsdorf – where the young man lives – the three of them drank alcohol. The 30-year-old second suspect was also in the apartment at the time.
Bleeding to death by rape
The young man who first raped the 20-year-old. An altercation then broke out between the two suspects. Then they both brutally assaulted Samantha F. for an hour – wounding her with various objects and holding her down. Though she screamed and begged, neighbors reported, the men didn’t stop. She eventually died from the massive blood loss caused by the rape.
How profuse the young woman’s bleeding must have been was reflected in the apartment in Floridsdorf. The bed, dresser, walls and bathroom were stained with blood. The suspects tried to cover this up after Samantha F. stopped responding: they dragged the victim into the bathroom and gave her a cold shower. They then started cleaning the apartment and crime items.
The second suspect hid from the police
It wasn’t until the morning of June 19, 2022 that the first suspect called the rescue service – who could do nothing for the 20-year-old upon arrival. After a short search, the police found the second suspect hiding in the basement of the apartment complex. He would only have wanted to store clothes and objects there. The two men have been in custody ever since.
After the police questioned the suspect several times, the second suspect then described the course of the crime: how he first raped Samantha F., how they then held the woman together and then brutally injured her. He doesn’t know why they did that…
According to the indictment, the first defendant, who is being defended by attorney Astrid Wagner, claims he did not assault or injure the 20-year-old. However, he is heavily accused by the 30-year-old, DNA traces and other evidence. Both must answer for the Viennese regional court for murder and rape.
Application for admission to an institution
According to psychiatric reports, both the 25-year-old and the 30-year-old suffer from a combined personality disorder with harmful cannabis use. The second suspect would also abuse alcohol and anabolic steroids. According to the expert, these personality disorders would be the cause of the cruel act. That is why the public prosecutor’s office is asking for admission to an institution for mentally deviant offenders.
A trial date has not yet been set.
