A 20-year-old man lost control of his car near Blons (Vorarlberg) on Easter Sunday and then ran off the road. As a result, the vehicle, which also contained a passenger, fell about 100 meters down a steep slope and only came to a stop near a residential building. Both occupants suffered undisclosed injuries.
On Easter Sunday around 11.15 am, the 20-year-old man from Thuringia and his passenger of the same age drove his car from Blons on Faschinastraße to Sunday. Shortly after leaving Blons, the driver drove his car over the right side of the road on a straight stretch of road for unknown reasons. The car and its occupants then fell about 100 meters down the steep slope and only came to a stop near a residential building.
Total loss
Both people suffered unspecified injuries in the accident. The car was a total loss and the roof of the residential building was also damaged by the impact of the car. A breathalyzer was negative. The local fire brigade in Blons and the mountain rescue service on Sunday were deployed to save the two injured people and the car.
