On Easter Sunday, two ski accidents took place on the Rettenbachferner in the Tyrolean region of Sölden, in which two winter sports enthusiasts were injured. Both holidaymakers – a Swiss and a Czech – were taken to hospital by helicopter.
The first accident happened around 1 pm: the 36-year-old Swiss was skiing down a blue slope with his snowboard when he collided with a Danish skier (41) for reasons that have not yet been clarified. The Swiss fell and sustained injuries to his shoulder.
The man received first aid from the slope rescue service and was then flown by the emergency doctor’s helicopter to the Zams district hospital.

The second collision between two winter sports enthusiasts took place around 3 p.m.: a Romanian (38) collided with a Czech (58), in which the 58-year-old suffered minor injuries. After first aid, he too was flown by helicopter to the hospital in Zams.
