Action for the fire brigade on Thursday evening in Wörgl in the Tyrolean Unterland: For unknown reasons, a fire broke out in a rubbish dump – the enormous heat damaged two cars parked next to each other.
At around 6:30 p.m., a garbage can suddenly caught fire in the garbage house in front of an apartment building in Wörgl. “The fire then spread to the remaining garbage cans,” police said.
Control fire quickly
The alarmed fire brigade, which came to the scene with four vehicles and 18 men, was able to quickly get the flames under control and extinguish them. “In addition to the garbage house, two parked cars were also damaged by the great heat,” the management continued.
No one was injured. The amount of damage caused cannot yet be quantified. An investigation into the cause of the fire is ongoing.
