Driver unpacks – Mjam delivery lady: “I drive to survive!”

They deliver our food and collect starvation wages themselves. A bicycle courier (22) talks about her hard daily life in the “Krone” and reveals why an internal rating system puts even more pressure on the delivery drivers.

She kicks and kicks. The Radl fleet with the big green or orange backpacks. The sporty delivery drivers have often saved us from the proverbial “starvation hunger”. One of them is Maria (22) – she has been working at the Mjam delivery service for a year and reports on her hard life as a bicycle delivery person in an interview with the “Krone”.

“Sometimes I am on the road for ten hours a day. Seven days a week. So I drive to survive!” said the Bulgarian. At the end of the month you only have to spend about 1500 to 1600 euros for it. However, the salary varies widely – depending on how much travel you take.
