On Sunday morning, a drunken 27-year-old from the Wolfsberg district of Carinthia locked up his 30-year-old girlfriend, threatened and injured her. The motive may have been jealousy.
The 27-year-old came to his partner’s apartment in St. Andrä in Lavanttal (Wolfsberg district) around 6:45 a.m. on Sunday after a night of drinking. Because the woman did not immediately hear the doorbell ring, the 27-year-old accused her of having been with another man
He then took his girlfriend’s mobile phone. He held the woman for several hours. Meanwhile, he repeatedly threatened and beat the 30-year-old.
According to police, the woman managed to get to her cell phone at noon, lock herself in the toilet and call for help. Police officers detained the 27-year-old and issued an entry and approach ban. According to the order of the Klagenfurt public prosecutor’s office, the 27-year-old was taken to Klagenfurt prison.
