Was the act planned? – Murder trial after a bloody act on a mother of two (30)

Date:

A strangulation and three stab wounds led to the death of Sabrina L. (30) in May 2022. The mother of two was found in her own blood in the basement of an inn in Piesendorf, Salzburg. The question in today’s trial is: murder or manslaughter? In the dock: the victim’s estranged husband.

It was an act that shook the Pinzgau. Today and tomorrow it will be dealt with legally in Chamber 230 of the Salzburg District Court.

A flashback: on May 13, 2022 at around 2 p.m., Sabrina L. (30) was found dead in a pool of blood by her mother-in-law. The body, which lay in the kitchen of her husband’s inn in Piesendorf, showed three knife wounds in the chest. The punctures were so severe that the blade partially came out on the other side. The mother-of-two had also suffocated on a tea towel or the handle of a handbag, researchers believe.

The restaurateur couple lived separately before the crime
Christian L, the victim’s 42-year-old husband, quickly became the target of authorities. The relationship, which resulted in a daughter now seven years old, ended in January 2022. The couple previously ran several restaurants together in Piesendorf.

Christian L. has been threatening and insulting his wife for quite some time. In March 2022, an approach ban was even issued due to a violent attack. L. therefore had to seek help about violence. But while the suspicion was almost obvious, it took an entire day for the arrest.

Alleged murderer of women spent the night in the basement of a pizzeria while escaping
Because: L. was swallowed by the earth. The suspected female killer was staying in the basement of a friend’s pizzeria. The next day he turned himself in to the police in front of his parents’ house. He quickly confessed to investigators, but said he didn’t want to kill Sabrina. The 42-year-old said he had a “blackout”.

Was it murder or manslaughter?
The big question for the eight jurors is: Was it murder or manslaughter? The defender speaks of an “affective attack” and manslaughter.

However, the public prosecutor wants to lock up L. for murder and even finds a planned crime. Because: L. deliberately lured the victim into the inn. A knife was found in his sock drawer – identical to the one used in the kitchen.

Christian L. even had clean clothes in the car. The verdict is expected on Thursday.
