The snow-covered road in the Tyrolean town of Leutasch (Innsbruck-Land district) killed a 22-year-old driver on Sunday evening: he and his passenger crashed the car and were injured.
The accident in Leutascher Straße happened around 8 p.m. when the local driver skidded on the wintry road. The car crashed into a guardrail and went over the side of the road, eventually falling several meters down a steep embankment.
Two injured people taken to hospital
Both the 22-year-old driver and his passenger (23) were injured in the accident. The rescue took both to the clinic in Innsbruck. The 22-year-old man’s car was a total loss and the fire brigade has secured the scene of the accident.
