A passer-by seemed to be completely fed up with life on the Voestbrücke near Linz on Wednesday morning: the unknown man balanced on the railing of the bridge for minutes. Fortunately, the drivers were not distracted by the man’s senseless behavior – no accidents were reported.
The alleged acrobat shook his head on the Voestbrücke around 9 a.m. before leaving for Linz-Dornach. As evidenced by recordings of a reader reporter from “Krone” (see video), the stranger stumbled from one side of the bridge to the other for about five minutes. Why the passer-by allowed himself to be drawn into this dangerous act could not be clarified.
Dangerous action passed without injury
Despite the two dangers of a fall on the highway, which is particularly busy in the morning, or in the Danube, the man was fortunately unharmed. The Voestbrücke in Upper Austria is one of three road bridges from Linz over the Danube. Next to the highway railing it goes down about eight meters.
Imitating such a life-threatening act is out of the question: after all, the man could have died or caused several traffic accidents.
