Javier Cienfuegosnational hammer throw record holder and three-time Olympian, lead the PP candidacy for Mayor of Montijo (Badajoz)municipality where he was born 33 years ago.

A graduate in Physical Activity Sciences, Javier Cienfuegos has held twelve Spanish championships in his specialty and participated in five European events, four world championships and three Olympic Games (London, Rio de Janeiro and Tokyo).
Cienfuegos was born in 1990 in this municipality of Badajoz with about 15,000 inhabitants, a PP representative in the Extremadura Assembly since the 2019 regional electionsunderlined his desire to “govern for all” and for this he has “colleagues who have been serving our people for many years under the PP acronym.”
However, he announced that there will be new additions to the local PP list to build “a clean, accessible, vibrant city, full of cultural activities and regional references.”

In the opinion of the general secretary of the PP from Extremadura, Abel Bautista, the discipline, dedication, value of work and effort that Cienfuegos gives himself in his training “is the same with which he will carry out his work as the future mayor of Montijo” .
In fact, Cienfuegos has been the local president of the Montijano PP since last year, which is why he has carried out “a job of listening and interacting with the social and economic groups of the town” which allows him to know the reality of the municipality, added Bautista.
At the sporting level, Cienfuegos is leading the Spanish championship, which will take place in February, and the winter European Cup, a month later.
