The European Parliament this Wednesday elected the Luxembourg socialist Marc Angel as vice-president of the chamber to replace Eva Kaili, the Greek socialist who was also fired for her alleged involvement in the bribery plot in Qatar and who is in preventive detention in Belgium.
In a process involving several rounds of voting, Angel won the candidacy of Annalisa Tardino, Member of the European Parliament for Matteo Salvini’s League, and Gwendoline Delbos-Corfield, the French representative of Los Verdes.
