A 16-year-old Iraqi, a 15-year-old Thai woman and a 15-year-old Afghan are said to have played an important role in the riots on Halloween night in Linz. They have now been investigated.
After extensive investigation by the investigative group set up at the Linz City Police Command, a 16-year-old unemployed Iraqi man entitled to subsidiary protection, his girlfriend – a 15-year-old schoolgirl from Thailand – and a 15-year-old Afghan were in state to take an active and leading part in the violent riots in the Halloween night in the center of Linz.
Firecrackers imported from the Czech Republic
Specifically, the suspects, who are already known to the police and, in the case of the 15-year-old, have a criminal record, are suspected of wearing balaclavas and throwing an arsenal of category 3 and 4 pyrotechnic objects imported from the Czech Republic. Republic during two procurement trips just before Halloween at the deployed police handed out such firecrackers in the rioting crowd and encouraged or forced other participants to throw them at the police, therefore arrest and search warrants were obtained from the Linz prosecutor’s office and executed by officers on Tuesday of the police command of the city of Linz.
partial confessions
The suspects have only (partially) known about the purchase journeys, have otherwise denied the suspicion and were finally transferred to the Linz prison on Wednesday by order of the Linz public prosecutor’s office. Further investigations need to be carried out. All three suspects are from Linz.
