Wild fight on Friday evening in front of a bar in the Tyrolean winter sports resort of Ischgl: two initially unknown men and three German tourists had been at each other’s throats. One of the holidaymakers was attacked so violently that he lost consciousness and ended up in intensive care. The suspected attackers have since been identified by the police.
Around 3:15 a.m., a wild argument broke out in front of restaurant Ischgl between the three Germans aged 36, 39 and 42 and the two initially unknown men. During the scuffle, “one of the strangers hit the 42-year-old German in the face with a huge fist, knocking him unconscious to the ground and his head on the asphalt,” police reported.
The injured ended up in intensive care
After receiving first aid at the scene, the injured victim had to be taken by ambulance to Zams Hospital and admitted to intensive care. “The other two Germans were unharmed,” the detectives continued.
Suspicious duo tracked down
The two strangers fled after the attack. However, during extensive investigation, the suspects were identified. It concerns a Dane (28) and a 30-year-old Congolese.
Both suspects admitted to being present at the fight. “However, the Dane denied physical injury to the 42-year-old German,” the detectives say. Further investigations are underway. The duo is shown in large.
