The sometimes heavy snowfall also created wintry road conditions in Lower Austria. This resulted in numerous traffic accidents. According to Notruf NÖ, the driver was killed in a collision with another car in St. Georgen am Reith (Amstetten district). The victim was freed from the vehicle by firefighters, but died at the scene of her injuries.
A total of 16 traffic accidents
In total, 16 traffic accidents were counted on Saturday afternoon, in which two people were seriously injured and 18 slightly injured. “From noon, the operations on the street calmed down a bit,” reports Philipp Gulederer of Notruf NÖ.
