Three years after the Corona chaos, the “Krone” went looking for clues where it all started – in Ischgl. The media is still an enemy. A wall of silence has been built in the village, but a young seasonal worker and tourists are chatty.
From the famous Tyrolean après ski bar Kitzloch in Ischgl – so the history books say – the insidious corona virus spread throughout Europe in February and March 2020. On March 13, the entire city, Paznaun, St. Anton am Arlberg and other places were quarantined in a very short time. The photos of the bar and the chaotic departure of the tourists went around the world. Ischgl was the center of media attention for several weeks and did not fare well.
How do you look back after almost three years? The “Krone” wanted to know more about this and went to the scene.
