A 32-year-old from the Urfahr region drove his car on the B126 from Bad Leonfelden towards Zwettl an der Rodl at around 5:40 am on Saturday. In the municipality of Bad Leonfelden, he slipped on the slush-covered road and collided head-on with the oncoming car, driven by a 54-year-old from the Rohrbach district.

He was trapped in his vehicle and was freed by firefighters. Both drivers were taken to UKH Linz and LKH Freistadt with serious injuries after emergency medical first aid.
