Three teenage thieves were arrested with their loot in the toilet

Date:

They stole like ravens – but now three young people (14, 15 and 16 years old) have been arrested in Gmunden (Upper Austria) and stole alcohol, tobacco products, toiletries, household items and various other items from a total of eight crime scenes.

Police were called to a shopping center in the Gmunden district around 11:20 am on Friday where three teenagers had shoplifted. Immediately after arrival, a 14-year-old who matched the description of the perpetrator was found. When he saw the patrol approaching, he attempted to hide the stolen goods he was carrying nearby and then fled on foot.

Girls came out of the toilet
However, the boy was quickly stopped by the officers. He was confronted with the stolen goods. When asked about his two accomplices, he claimed not to know where they were. However, during the identity check, the police noticed two young girls, aged 15 and 16, who wanted to leave the toilet room.

Prey found
When they saw the patrol, they immediately disappeared back into the toilet. During the subsequent search, officers found the two teenage girls – hidden in a cabin with other stolen property. The subsequent investigation uncovered a total of eight crime scenes where the youths had stolen alcohol, tobacco products, toiletries, household items and various other items.

Loot hidden in locker
The young people moved from store to store in the shopping center and temporarily stored the stolen goods in lockers. A total of three safes containing stolen goods were found. The three young people from the Gmunden district have made a full confession and have been reported to the Public Prosecution Service in Wels.
