A drunk man threw his dog from the fifth floor of a house in Strasbourg, France. After the horrific act the day before, the owner was arrested and put in the drunken tank. He is now due to appear in court on Wednesday.
Although vets quickly treated the two-year-old bulldog, he had to be euthanized due to fractures and internal injuries, police said Tuesday.
The crime took place in the problem Neuhof district of Strasbourg. A passer-by saw the dog flying from the balcony into the street on Monday morning, reports the newspaper Les Dernières Nouvelles d’Alsace. The fire department, who came to rescue the dog, called the police, who removed the animal abuser from the apartment and took him away.
