Carrier pigeon led to British drug dealer

Date:

His love for homing pigeons led the British police to a drug dealer. The BBC reported on Wednesday that he had repeatedly referred to pigeons in encrypted messages and images in chats.

This enabled officers to identify his home address and dovecote, police said. The 37-year-old is suspected of trafficking heroin and cocaine. He has already pleaded guilty in a court in Liverpool for this.

Nicknames like “frosty-hill” and “wuhan-who”
During his criminal career, the man used aliases such as “frosty-hill” (icy hill in German) or “wuhan-who”. Wuhan is the capital of a central Chinese province and is known as a center of trade and for the coronavirus outbreak.

The 37-year-old drug dealer was sentenced on Tuesday to 11 years and three months in prison.
