In the Weinviertel (Lower Austria), a neighborhood quarrel ended bloody: a 37-year-old stabbed a 39-year-old several times with a knife. The man was arrested, but no trace of the murder weapon has yet been found. The investigation is ongoing.
A long-simmering neighborhood feud between a 37-year-old Afghan and his 39-year-old opponent has probably finally escalated on Tuesday evening in Deutsch-Wagram in the Gänserndorf district. After the two men came to blows at the garden gate around 7pm, the 37-year-old suddenly pulled out a knife and stabbed in a blind rage.
The 39-year-old suffered multiple stab wounds to his upper body and thigh. The victim was taken to hospital with serious injuries. There is no danger to life.
The perpetrator had a knife in his pocket
The alleged perpetrator has been arrested and transferred to Korneuburg prison, so far there is no trace of the murder weapon. The 37-year-old has yet to confess, denying any connection to the crime. The investigation is ongoing, witnesses and neighbors are currently being questioned. A possible motive may have been enormous noise pollution. A heat pump could have boiled things over.
