The US president has claimed it was a “miscarriage of justice” instigated by his political rivals.
The President of the United States, Joe Bidenannounced this Sunday a pardon for his son, Hunter Biden, who was found guilty in June of crimes related to illegal gun ownership, claiming it was a “miscarriage of justice” instigated by his political rivals.
The Democrat has justified this decision by claiming that Hunter was “treated differently” and that “he was singled out just because he is (his) son.”
Hunter was found guilty last June of three charges in a case related to the illegal purchase of a firearm in 2018 after acquiring it when he was a known drug user. Two of the three crimes he was charged with carry a maximum penalty of 10 years in prison, while the third carries a maximum penalty of five years in prison.
The son of the American president was born last September pleaded guilty to nine charges, three of them seriousrelated to the failure to pay $1.4 million in taxes between 2016 and 2019, and attempts to declare payments to prostitutes, a subscription to a pornographic website and his daughter’s college as business expenses.
