High-rise buildings in Innsbruck – Radau tenant gets on the nerves of others

Date:

In a high-rise building in the O-Dorf in Innsbruck, a tenant drives the other residents to despair – with parties, shouting and noise, often at night. There is no quick fix in sight.

About 40 parties of different nationalities live in the house on Ander-Lan-Straße. “Still, things went quite harmoniously for us; the house rules were important to everyone,” says one of the long-standing tenants.

That was all over when Mrs. H. (name known to the editors) moved into one of the city apartments in June, initially with two dogs. The local woman was recently in care; she is clearly not in control of her current life.

First party, then wild arguments
The witness from the next floor tells about late-night parties that often resulted in heated arguments. You can find sleepy visitors in the hallway in the morning hours. It is not unusual for blood to be spilled at the celebrations. There would be red colored bandages in the hallway. The door of the ‘crazy people’, as they are called in the house, has recently been smeared with blood. Furniture would always go crazy at night.

Overnight stays with parents in another part of the city
“I am temporarily moving to my parents in Reichenau,” says the witness, who often has to work from home. Children live in the adjacent apartment of the striking tenant. “They can’t sleep at night and cover their ears in bed.”

Throwing bottles as an escalation
The most recent highlight: The resident rang witness Sturm’s doorbell in the evening. “When my friend came into the hallway and wanted to confront her, she went back to the elevator but threw a bottle at him, which broke in front of the door.”

An unforgettable evening recently
The affected person reacted defiantly to criticism and frequent police visits, and she also noted that she would do anything “if she was diligent”. Only recently half the household was awake in the hallway because the activity lasted from 11pm to about 2am.

Memories and deportation, but that will take a long time
The tenant is an acquaintance of the Innsbruck Real Estate Company (IIG). After initial problems, an attempt was made to have an illuminating conversation in August – after six written reminders to comply with the house rules. “Unfortunately, she did not understand,” sighs the responsible IIG employee Lukas Tusch. The woman apparently finds it difficult to adhere to any rules.

The residents of the house testify to the great efforts of the IIG, seven witness statements have been collected and the legal department is preparing the eviction. The fly in the ointment: in a similar case the move took a year!
