A fire has severely damaged a US drone factory in Latvia, which produces unmanned aerial vehicles for both NATO and Ukraine. The fire broke out Tuesday afternoon of unknown cause.
Three employees were injured in the Edge Autonomy fire, according to rescuers, and two of the victims had to be transported to hospital. The extinguishing work lasted until the early hours of Wednesday. According to Latvian media, the flames engulfed an area of about 600 square meters. Representatives of the American company have not yet been able to say much about the costs incurred and the effects on production. Everything has yet to be viewed.
For the time being, the investigative services do not assume sabotage. Nevertheless, criminal investigations have been launched. According to the company, it produces drones for civil and military purposes and supplies about 70 countries, including Ukraine.
