Young people caught – shot fired in the middle of the city: operation Cobra in Tyrol

Great excitement Wednesday evening in Jenbach in the Tyrolean district of Schwaz: After shootings were fired in the middle of the city, a major police operation began, in which the Cobra special unit also took part. Eventually, two young people and their weapons were found and confronted.

At around 9:15 p.m., police in Jenbach raised the alarm and reported that the shot had been fired. Police immediately launched a multi-lane manhunt. The special task force Cobra was also asked for support.

Deceptively genuine looking rifle
A short time later, two young local residents aged 17 and 18 were identified who matched the personal descriptions. “The two suspects had a so-called airsoft gun with them, which deceptively looked like a real firearm,” the detectives said. Balls and other accessories were also found and secured.

Gun bans have been issued
After objects resembling weapons were secured in the home of the 17-year-old, a provisional ban on weapons was imposed on the two young people,’ the detectives continue. No one was injured. Appropriate advertisements will follow.
