Earthquake in Turkey – Vorarlberg team rescued mother and child

Date:

The rescue team from Vorarlberg traveled to Turkey earlier this week to help rescue a woman and her child from the rubble on Thursday. A rare moment of happiness.

The helpers from the country were stationed in the town of Kahramanmaras on Thursday before reaching another part of the earthquake zone. The crew was assigned to a mess that was once an eight-story building. And indeed. A woman and her child were rescued alive from the completely destroyed building.

The Vorarlbergers also collaborated with other teams on the rescue operation. There are also plenty of volunteers from Turkey on site. Although the chances of finding people alive under the rubble are decreasing by the hour, the helpers don’t want to give up and exhaust every opportunity to save a life, no matter how small.
