An unlucky Monday on the A9 in Obersteiermark: After a serious accident in Mautern, the helicopter had to leave again in Rottenmann. A wrong-way driver collided head-on with another vehicle and was seriously injured. The other driver also suffered serious injuries.
Frontal collision on the highway! On Monday around 11 a.m., a wrong-way driver crashed into another vehicle at Rottenmann on the A9.
Critical condition for wrong-way drivers
The person who caused the accident is in critical condition and had to be flown by helicopter to Graz. The other person was just as badly injured and was taken to the LKH Rottenmann. The circumstances are not yet known, according to police.
Due to the accident, the A9 towards Voralpenkreuz was closed to all traffic.
