Now appeal to thief – after theft of notebooks: “I lost everything!”

Date:

Reginald Kallinger was the victim of a robbery. The musician knows that his belongings are in a Meidlinger municipal building in Vienna. But his hands are tied. Now he appeals to the perpetrator or perpetrators!

There are more than 600 apartments in the municipal building at Zanaschkagasse 12 and 16 in Meidling. One of them contains very personal valuables belonging to the Viennese Reginald Kallinger. But not voluntarily! A backpack with a MacBook and two hard drives was stolen from the car of the musician and radio presenter in Margareten last Wednesday afternoon. “The perpetrator smashed the rear window. According to the police, it was not an isolated case that day,” said Kallinger.

The forensic department of the investigative service has now taken up the case. Kallinger himself also went looking for clues. Thanks to Apple tracking, the musician was able to trace his computer to Meidlinger town hall. “According to the police, there is no search warrant for this,” said the Wener.

“My life is on these hard drives”
But the artist does not want to give up. He has now offered a finder’s fee of 1,500 euros and makes an emotional appeal to the perpetrator(s). Kallinger: “I have been in the music business for 24 years. All my artistic work is stored on these hard drives. All compositions, demos, unreleased songs and graphics. For me, the loss is much more than material damage. I was everything in one fell swoop lost.”

“The perpetrator can also keep the MacBook”
The musician goes even further. “I only care about the hard drives. If the perpetrator hands over the hard drives or sends them to me, I will not report it. He or she may also keep the Apple notebook.” Why did the professional even have his backup hard drives with him? “I’m moving to Salzburg and wanted to stop by the studio before I left.”
