A 15-year-old was quickly arrested after being brutally assaulted while walking in a park in Kirchdorf an der Krems. The boy had shot a 63-year-old several times with a gas pressure gun. Doctors had to operate a steel bullet from the woman’s cheek.
A woman (63) had to endure traumatic experiences on Sunday while walking her dog in the Kirchdorf city park. While making a round around 6:45 p.m., she heard footsteps behind her. She turned around and was threatened by a youth with a gun. “He demanded money from her,” said police spokesman Michael Babl.
Dramatically pointed
The situation escalated dramatically when the woman told the robber that she had no money on her. “He allegedly shot at her from about ten feet away, grazing her on the head,” explains Babl. A gas pressure gun was probably used as a weapon, because instead of a bang, only a hiss was heard. The perpetrator then wanted the woman’s mobile phone and keys. But the victim did not react and quickly tried to flee the park. Babl: “But the teenager didn’t let go of the woman, shot her in the face from about a meter away. Another shot hit her in the shoulder.” The robber eventually turned around at the exit of the park.
made a confession
The 63-year-old was taken to hospital where a 4.5mm steel bullet had to be removed from her cheek. A 15-year-old local resident was identified as a suspect on Monday. He made a confession. He now faces a prison sentence of up to 7.5 years for attempted aggravated robbery.
